Impetigo

So my 18 month old charge has impetigo. I am wondering if I should keep him home from our playgroup or not. I'm finding conflicting things on the internet whether it is contagious or not. I asked his mother and she said she doesn't know, the doctor didn't mention if it's contsgous. Thanks

I think it is contagious, but not easily spread. Is she taking anything for it? If she is, you're probably fine to go, especially if the sores are covered.

It is contagious. If she can be put on antibiotics for it then she will be no longer contagious after 24 hours. If its getting worse I would go with the antibiotics as well as bacitracin.

I have that today ,I went to the doctor his said it is from my sinus,During the day I can clean this up ,but at night time when am sleeping this terrrible thing come out and make my skin irritation,I have very angry spot down to my noise,this is contagious if you not take antibiotics,his ask e to put ice on it.,I felt very good.

Dr told us 24 hours after antibiotics.
