Our nanny will soon be starting, caring for our 2.5 month old. She will be overlapping with me at home a few days before I go back to work. Any tips for a smooth transition?

Agree...keep your intervention to a minimum. Show her around the neighborhood and your house, explain where things are and ask if there's any food you should keep around (like bread for toast, tea, etc.).
