I would appreciate some insight into your personal experiences with the following questions. I'm in DC.
1) where did you source your G5 nanny? World bank bulletin board or other? 2) what do you pay your G5 nanny gross? What does the total cost after taxes etc work out to for you? 3) what responsibilities does your G5 nanny have besides child minding (eg laundry for baby, meal prep for family, etc)? 4) how many days off does your G5 nanny have as paid time off (sick days and personal days)? All federal holidays or only some? Thank you in advance! |
What are you looking for specifically? Do you want to hire a nanny with a G5 visa or looking to sponsor someone to be a nanny on a G5 for your family. My good friend has worked for families in the world bank network and is interested in a Live in arrangement with a family who could potentially sponsor her. Leave your email below for me to contact you. Thanks |
Just to be clear, I'm looking for a nanny who would need a G5 sponsor. I'm also open to hiring an American - just starting my search and would like some info first, |
Please contact me at 202 468 3143 thanks |
OP, my former au pair became a G5 nanny through a friend who posted an ad for her on the worldbank intranet board. As I understand it, the pay, vacation and duty limits are dictated by the visa. |
I just hired someone who has dual citizenship in the US. |

There is a lot of information here.

[G-5 visa sponsorship needed]
Dear families, My name is Aleksandra (30) and I am a Polish national. I am looking for a live in/live out nanny/housekeeper position with G-5 sponsorship option (The UN, The World Bank group) starting ASAP. I already have my PID number so transition would be faster. I am very responsible and respectful former au pair with 10+ years of childcare experience. I consider myself as an excellent driver (DC driver’s license nd clean record), CPR and First Aid certified. I am very cultured and well educated, trilingual young lady. I can teach your child Polish and Russian and we can both have fun learning Arabic! Cleaning relaxes me so I would be happy to help with that too ![]() I can provide great references upon request. Please contact me at noir_crystal@o2.pl |
**Amazing Nanny Available - Needs G5 sponsorship** I am going though the retirement process so we unfortunately will need to part with our wonderful nanny, Jean, who has been with our family for the last 7 years. We met (and fell in love with) Jean while living in the Middle East and she moved with us to the United States in 2013. Jean has cared for our 17 year-old special needs daughter since she was 10, as well as our 2 sons since they were 5 and 7. She has vast experience working with multiple families in Canada and Saudi Arabia with children ranging x - x years. She has also traveled to multiple countries with us as well as throughout the United States. My husband and I both work full-time so Jean manages 3 kids' busy schedules, anticipating what each will need for each activity whether it is sports equipment, books for a class, a change of clothes or a dinner to take on the run! She always keeps me on schedule and reminds me of upcoming events for the kids. As a live-in nanny, Jean is the third set of hands we always seem to need and she is willing to help with literally any task around the house. Jean cooks for the whole family daily and also cleans and does laundry while the children are at school. Our house is immaculate with virtually no direction from me! Most importantly, Jean is very patient and kind with my special needs daughter who can often be very difficult and defiant. She always makes time to do an activity with her or she helps her with developing reading and math skills. Jean is very flexible and has a great sense of humor and always greets us with a smile, no matter how difficult her day or my daughter has been. She is very happy and a kid at heart so she has fun no matter what she is doing. She is very flexible with her schedule and is available to work whatever hours are needed. She is willing to live in with a family if the family is in need but it isn't a requirement. Jean is bilingual, a native Tagalog speaker, and speaks English fluently. She can be reached directly at 703-624-1646 and is eager to connect with her next family! We have had many nannies while living overseas and I know how difficult it is to find someone who is trustworthy, kind and reliable. When we’re at the office, we simply don’t worry about what’s happening at home, and that level of support and trust is very rare. We will miss her dearly. -- Looking forward to hearing you please contact her. Thank you |
What difference does it make because American citizens cannot hire G5 and this means that if one parent is a US citizen and the other is not, you still cannot hire a G5. |
How much does g5 nanny cost? Minimum? Health insurance? Taxes? Trying to understand the costs. Thx |
Same or better rates than most other nannies locally. |
