Nanny/employer paperwork RSS feed

Does anyone do their own paperwork related to employing a nanny rather than use a service? (i.e. filing taxes, paying unemployment, issuing payroll and getting workers compensation insurance). If so, how much time does this take from an administrative standpoint?

I do. The initial set up takes about a day (you have to request some numbers), though not a solid day of work -- maybe 3 hours? What took the longest was finding Worker's Comp coverage.

I do payroll twice a month. It takes about 10 minutes. Once a quarter I pay state withholding and unemployment insurance. That's online; takes about 5 minutes. At the end of the year, I print a W2 and file an end-of-the-year state withholding return. Another 10 minutes. Probably another 10 minutes filling in the info on TurboTax to pay FICA and Federal Withholding/UI at the end of the year.
