| I interviewed the last couple weeks with several families. I was waiting on two families decisions when I an offer from the family I liked most. I accepted and reached out to let both families know I am no longer available. One was courteous and thanked me for letting them know, etc. The other sent me this " We agreed you would wait until we made a decision ( not true). We are still interviewing nannies. This is a difficult decision, but you just made it easy for us". I don't understand why they got all snarky because I took a good offer. Do I respond or ignore? |
| Ridiculous. They expected you to wait until they finish interviewing nannies and pass on you? Talk about dodging a bullet there. Congrats on your new job! |
| Oh, and obviously ignore. You don't owe them a single thing and there's no point in getting dragged into this useless drama. |
| I'd reply: "Sorry About that! I forgot that it's your world- I'm just living in it!!" You dodged a huge bullet, congrats on the new job! |
|
MB here - definitely ignore, and thank your lucky stars you didn't get stuck working with someone like that!
To answer your other question, it means that they are controlling and rude. |
|
It also means that they've never hired a nanny before, and aren't thinking about you as an actual person. You don't want to be that family's "starter nanny" anyway!
Just ignore, especially if they found you on Care. They sound like the type to leave a spite review. |
| Op here. I don't understand what they meant by " Its a difficult decision, but you made it very easy for us." Does that mean by pulling out, it easier, or a snarky way of saying " based on your behavior, we're not interested?" They did right another response about agreeing that they are not interested. |
| Just ignore it. |
| They are being jerks. Take the high road and ignore them. |
Don't waste any more time thinking about this. Yes, it's likely that they liked you and were having a hard time deciding between candidates so you dropping out made their decision easier and it's possible that they didn't mean it in a snarky way, but at this point who cares? If they didn't mean to be snarky they chose their words poorly and aren't good at communicating and if they did you're better off not contacting them again for any reason. |
Are you slow?!? Stop wondering about this family and move the hell on |
I don't know about her being slow, but I can say with 100% certainly that you are a nasty b***h! |
why don't you go play in traffic.. And for you its Mrs. Bitch |
Oh dear. |
|
You just dodged a HUGE bullet here OP.
Congratulations!! How can they expect you to sit around while they interview several nannies....??! They must think the world revolves around them. I feel bad for the nanny they do eventually end up hiring. She will have to deal w/this family who will think they are the center of the entire universe!! And these people in general make the worst employers!! Don't bother responding back. They are so not worth it. Congrats on your new job!!
