cheaper alternative to breedlove/homepay payroll service?

we've been using breedlove to pay our nanny for a while and it's great, it's pretty expensive given that our needs are not that complicated. any suggestions on other services for a home employee? So far, I've seen intuit (about 35$/month for payroll plus taxes), savvynannypayroll services (30$/month) and GTM (65$/month). any other recommendations for services we should be considering? any recent experiences with intuit and savvynannypayroll--we're unlikely to use GTM as it's not that much cheaper than Breedlove.

How much service do you require? We self paid with a software package (nanny pay) that did the calculations and walked you through the tax forms at the end of the year. We pay by automatic bank transfer (free) since the amount is the same 95% of the time. It's a lot cheaper. I don't do nothing.. But it's only 2 minutes of work weekly and an hour at tax time.

Bump--any recs on payroll services for nannies? Using Breedlove (which costs more than 1K/year) and want to drop it.

We use GTM but since we signed up a number of years ago, we locked in at $60 a month. However, we have a friend that has their CPA (who also does their taxes) do our payroll for $30 month. Have you tried that?

I do it myself. Use free calculator on 4nannytaxes to get formulas right once per year, then have a spreadsheet that tracks the amounts. Do W-2 through SSA (free) and pay VA taxes once per quarter. Then H&R Block software for my taxes and that has schedule H already there... probably 3 hours per year total.
