Feeling stuck RSS feed

I posted last posting on child philosophies. I feel stuck at this job I've been working for for 3 months. They let another nanny go so I can take the spot. There are so many reasons why this job isn't the right fit for me. How do I quit/give two weeks? I feel it's best on Friday so I get paid because I don't trust the person. 1) I'm inside 10 hours a day, was told that we would be outside more but we haven't. Yes I say many times let's go to the park with 4 year old but if he says no mb agrees. 2) I have no say in anything. Mom is stay at home mom doesn't work, I will tell the boy to do something simple as putting his shoes away mb will say it's okay leave them there. I try to teach him manners before I started working he had no manners, mb jokes about it then he doesn't take seriously. 3) mb gossips a lot and I feel negative energy around. 4) mb germaphobe and expects me to do same. Mb commented on me opening door saying not to open it use my elbow. (Mb jokes about it but means it) 5) makes rude remarks saying I'm nagging child, I'm not I'm redirecting him in a positive way to have good behavior. 5) mb only wants to have say and tell Child what to do, I have no say in anything. 6) mom home all day feel I barely get a break only at child nap time 6) feel this isn't right for me, no overtime, cash under table, no taxes on purpose in case I would leave job. So how do I leave? My energy has been depleted since I started working this job. I'm in my 20's, I want to be active, go outside, have fun and I'm
Not at this job. But I feel I have to stay because of the other nanny leaving so I can do the job... Mb doesn't like other nanny anyways so now she has me I can work for her. But baby isn't used to be quite yet because mb is always home baby clinged to mb. What do I do?

MB here- this sounds like hell! Why wouldn't you quit? I cannot see why you feel like you owe this family like you seem to?

It is hell. Just quit after you get your paycheck.

Why would you take a job where you cant go outside?

Quit on Friday night . I wouldnt even give 2 weeks notice, If the Mom stays at home its not like she has to scramble for childcare.

You're paid under the table, no OT. Obviously there's no contract. So quit on the spot Friday night, no notice.

I remember long time ago I did asked in this board which job to choose.

This one family offer me 50 to 55 hrs but their condition is I cant take the baby out of the house. Just stay inside the house. Small condo.

I worked for them for 1 month only. I quit! I told them my son have problem at school. Hahaha I lied.

OP, it sounds like you feel obligated to stay because they fired their previous nanny in order to hire you. Is that right?

Wow, being immature and unprofessional probably isn't something to be boasting about.

Wow that's a bummer. I mean I want to be honest but not being rude. This just isn't a good fit.

Give them written 2 week, or you can simply quit since the mom is home not working.

So what should I do? give them 2 weeks notice and stress myself out for another 14 days?

Why would a mom that stays home and doesn't even work have a nanny that works 50 hours per week? And why would she be so involved? This sounds incredibly made up. If not, what is the struggle? It's not like if you quit on the spot she'd be in some sort of bind because she has to go to work. Whatever you say op. And the child is 4 and home with you and not in school? Sure...

No. Don't accept a job you know you will be unhappy in and quit in the first place. It's called integrity.
