When To Start Looking for Nanny for 2 kids

Hello. I'm about to have a second child and will be seeking a nanny to begin sometime in August (dates flexible) to care for the baby and a 3 year old who will hopefully be in part-time preschool. We have an active list serve. When would you start looking for a new nanny and any tips on the process?

It's never to soon to start looking around and putting out the word. Include what your pay range is.

I would start in late may/early June.

It's a terrific time to want someone to start as lots of families will age out of needing nannies at the start of the school year.

Definitely start talking to friends and neighbors now though - word of mouth often yields the best candidates. And use your neighborhood listserv if you have one.
