What happens if you break a match? RSS feed

Does anyone know the financial penalty for canceling a match?

Do you mean a match you have made but the person hasn't arrived yet? I would imagine this is dependent on a few things: are you leaving the AP program all together or are you breaking a match with an incoming AP for certain reasons but intend to select a new AP? how close to arrival is your AP at this point? how long have you been with your company (this really matters in a lot of cases)? what company is it (some are more flexible than others about refunds)?

Not sure- but I suspect it will depend on the reason. You'll probably lose all the $ you already paid if it's for a reason the agency thinks is frivolous.

If tickets are already booked, which happen pretty late in the game, so this would have to be a last minute cancellation - then you owe fees related to changing/canceling the booking.

Aside from that, you may owe a penalty on the program fee, depending on a number of factors.

A friend had to break a match based on some new information about her AP's mental health information - revealed post-match but before US arrival. The agency refunded all fees and kicked the AP out of the program.

Totally different scenario, presumably.
