| I always get scared having lots of cash on me. Would it be ok this year to give my nanny a check instead for her holiday bonus? |
| How much cash are we talking? Thousands? A nice check is great, but as you know, cash is always preferred. You can even do part cash and part check. |
| Honestly it makes no difference. |
|
cash, and seriously...you can go to the ATM drive through and drive home and put it right in an envelope.
No one is asking you to walk around SE with all your bling bling on advertising you have cash on you........... |
| Check ok. Most banks let you deposit with your cell phone now. $50 cash might be nice in case she's flat broke but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most families I know do checks. |
| I prefer check or bank transfer. I don't do cash, period. |
If I went to hand you ten hundred dollar bills and you said, "Oh, actually I prefer check or bank transfer; I don't do cash, period," I would say to you "Never mind then." |

I agree, but she's probably lying. |
1. I've been mugged before, so no, I'm not interested in losing a week or two weeks wages because I was handed cash. 2. My contract states that any method other than cash is fine. |
| My family placed my bonus as cash into a new vera bradley wallet! it was so sweet and thoughtful. not saying at all that you have to do this. they paid me the rest of my normal salary by check though. my mb usually writes a check weekly, but when i get lucky and db is home he always hands me cash. I don't mind either, the atm accepts both lol |
You do realize when people say "cash preferred" they mean "money" as in not gift cards or items they may not want, just give the money (cash or check) and let the person spend it as they see fit. There is no preference for actual cash over a check unless you are an illegal without an bank account. |
