| We've had a college student as a temp nanny for the past six months. Tomorrow is her last day and I'd like to do something but not sure what. We thought we had another week to figure it out but she moved up the end date because of some school stuff so we scrambled to find someone. We've paid well and given some random gifts/small bonuses throughout her time and I'm not in the position to do a week's salary but I would like to do something. Normally I'd make something with the kids or do a photo book to accompany a small gift but given the short notice, we don't have time. Any other ideas for small thank you gifts I could pick up today? |

A 6 month temp nanny probably doesn't want anything from your kids or anything. I mean I'm sure they are cute kids and she probably likes them, but in 2 months she won't remember them.
Your best best is either cash/gift card (as much as you can afford) or stuff for college. Either practical or elegant (like a nice planner, high quality metal pens, use your imagination.) |

For a temp nanny who isn't even staying through the agreed upon end date? Nothing.

| flowers? Not sure what her next plans are so if she's moving that wouldn't work but I wouldn't go nuts under the circumstances. |
| I say a fifty dollar gift card to iTunes, Amazon, Starbucks or even a spa card would be sufficient. |
