When to start looking for summer nanny job?

My NF will be out of town this summer, when should I start seriously looking for a July-August gig? I'm not seeing many job postings on sittercity, and not many on care.com yet.

I recently moved, and while the commute from Alexandria to NWDC midday isn't bad, it would probably not be great in the mornings. So asking my MB to put word out on the neighborhood listserv isn't a good option.

Why did you move so far away from your job?

I'm in a similar position (MB is a teacher and will be home with the children this summer). I typically begin looking for summer care positions at the start of May.
