There are plenty of jobs people enjoy going to each day, not every job besides being a nanny is a constant "case of the Mondays" like the comic strips would have you believe. The problem is those others jobs require going to college.

Oh, Sweetie, give it up. I guarantee you that I graduated from a much better college than you did and have a masters degree as well. And I am a very happy nanny. I've held a lot of positions in my life and being a nanny is my favorite.

I wish our nanny felt as you did, OP. But from the look on her face when she arrives in the morning, I doubt she does.

I wish I could be in your shoes, OP. I had a job like this and then they moved for a job offer. Now I'm in a position that is not at all a good fit and I dread work. I'm currently looking did a good fit and hope I find it soon. You're very lucky!!!

Last night before bed I was docking my phone and paused to look at some photos of my charges and think about how cute they are and how much I looked forward to seeing them today. Within 5 minutes of arrival, I see that all the dishes from last night and all the bibs from the weekend are all over the kitchen, and MB tells me that she "didn't have time" to put toddler on the toilet all weekend, so can I please start his potty training over again asap? Also, the baby "wouldn't nap in the crib," (after I spent all of last week transitioning her), so mom just let her sleep in the swing all weekend but she really wants ME to have her sleep in the crib. I try to be positive and upbeat, but if the "look on my face" is not to MB's liking, does that mean I am a crappy nanny?
