Hi parents, I'm a Mom who is struggling to make ends meet this year, but I want to treat our nanny right. She's been with us for two years, 40 hours per week. What percentage is an appropriate raise to give her? Many thanks for your input!

Cost of living (you need to look it up) plus a merit increase of 5% being the highest. So 5% plus 2% (whatever COL is now).

+1 We give a dollar per hour per year salary increase. This seems to be standard. Started DC's nanny at $18 in 2013 and will go up to $20 at her anniversary in February.
