Nannies should get a written review after the first 30 days.

I may be in the minority, but all of that sounds much too formal to me.
I have a very casual relationship with my Nanny Family and we don't do things like in the corporate world. It is a more casual and intimate environment after all since I do work in their most intimate space, their home and care for their most prized possession, their baby. |

| MB here. We do yearly written reviews, but that's it. That allows our nanny to collect reference material for her portfolio when/if she wants a new job. Thirty days is too short a time to give a written review. At that point, it is still too early to really know the nanny's strengths and areas for improvement. We're still getting to know each other, so I'd rather have a meeting (if she wants one) to discuss how it's going and address any issues. |
