Summer Nanny Advice RSS feed

Hi All,

I am a public school teacher interested in nannying this summer during our summer break. I would love to develop educational programs/trips for the children-- museums, libraries, etc. Really whatever the parents would like! I would love some advice on finding families that might be interested in something like that. Do people use resources like care.org? How could I get connected with families who would be interested in a summer nanny? I know it may seem early for this-- but I'm a planner

Thank you!

Care.com is a great resource but with your educational background you can (and should) apply with nanny agencies. Most agencies do summer and temporary placements.

Make sure you use Care.com, not Care.org OP...That is something totally different trust me.

And I agree with the PP, with all of your experience I would skip over the online childcare websites and go straight to a reputable agency.

You almost surely will get accepted by one and it won't cost you a dime. And you will certainly find better families through an agency as well.

Good luck.
