In search of a weekend babysitter

Hello! I live in the Brookland neighborhood in NE Washington DC. My husband and I are looking for a weekend babysitter--the hours are flexible, but probably afternoons and evenings on Saturdays or Sundays. The babysitter would watch our two children (2.5 year old girl, 1 year old son) while we run errands and do chores around the house and possibly go out for dinner. We have two dogs and it's best if the babysitter is comfortable around dogs. We're looking for a non-smoker who has a lot of experience coping with 2 children close in age. We are within walking distance of good parks in a residential neighborhood.
We're hoping to hire someone who is also available for occasional weeknights and government holidays as well. Ideally the babysitter would occasionally help out with light housework (making children dinner, washing up) but it isn't required. Thank you in advance for any leads or referrals! |
