I am hoping some of you have been in a similar situation. I started a new position four months ago. I took a vacation day for conference that was already planned and paid for before I got the job. I also took one day for medical issues. After being without insurance for a long time I am needing to see to some serious issues. I would like to find doctors that have weekend hours to avoid taking anymore time off.
If you know of any providers who have weekend hours please share their office location, name, and website or phone number. Particularly dentist, gyro, PCP, and chiropractor. TIA! |
Is there a reason you took a position as a nanny with so many looming health problems? |
She should find a different career because she has health issues? Should everyone switch careers because they have health issues? She isn't letting them affect her job. Stop being an ass. |
| Wow, you parents just can't be pleased. There is just no way to give some of you enough. Have you considered that low paying jobs din't afford your nanny enough to pay for healthcare? After a period without health insurance how is someone to know what issues they will encounter at the next checkup? |
| OP I don't this this is the best place to seek this information. See if your health insurance provider offers a health advocate or EAP program (almost all of them have something like this). Call that service and tell them what you need. They can research care providers for you with weekend hours. They can even help you set up appointments. |
| I'm not sure what your work hours are, but a lot of doctors also have early or late days. One of my old doctors started one day a week at 6am, and another day went to 8pm. This may work for you, too. |
| OP, do you have insurance now? My insurance company lists various doctors that are covered by my insurance. I'd start there. |
Calm down. No one on this thread has identified themselves a parent. For all you know, everyone could be a nanny. |
Wow you nannies can't be please. You look at being a nanny as some non-serious job that you can float into when it suits you and just float out of when you feel like it. You come for the flexibility and demand high wages while also demanding extreme flexibility, benefits, and time off. You use us and leave at the next better opportunity just to use another family. Look how many posts are on here every week from both MBs and nannies saying "I've only work/had my nanny for 4 week and I need/she wants 2 weeks off to take a vacation. What do I do?" |
OP here. I am sorry you are having such a negative experience as a nanny or employer or just from reading this forum. What do those nannies have to do with me? I have taken one unscheduled day off and one day that my MB knew about when I interviewed. You are angry because I hope to see a doctor during my weekend day off? You don't make a lot of sense to me. |
I'm angry because your NF kids deserve better. you disappoint me =/ |
|
Oy. OP, ignore the lunatic.
Try 9:01's advice - almost every insurance provider has a service that can help you sort out what providers have extended and/or weekend hours. |
In what way is op disappointing you? Yes she missed 2 days and that is not ideal but she is trying to avoid missing another. Op call your insurance or doctors offices that take your insurance and ask. |
