Gotta love the young, English speaking nannies/Au pairs who scavenge the real forums to report childcare questions to the administrator.
This 10 person low volume forum sure is protective at keeping real issues off and away from all the parents in the general forum! Funny thing, when you pull the IP addresses from posters here it's usually the same three posters pretending to be multiple people. Definitely not where I'd bother asking a serious or real-time question. Nor read in order to help answer others' questions. All yours nannies, all yours. |

Yes, a couple years back the parenting discussions were getting so ugly that they had to move the nanny population to its own domain.
Now it's nice and contained and the usual perpetrators just stay here. Much better this way. A few nannies were always going nuts on the main forum. |

| I am in Canada and had been using this forum a bit for feedback/to see if issues came up that are relevant to me. However now I'm on a FB group for Canadian nanny employers that is much more relavent to my situation. I'm also on a FB group for Canadian nannies and moms so can source opinions from nannies as well, but it is less relevant as most of the nannies there are looking for jobs or like here often (but not always) give inflated numbers for typical hourly wages etc. |

Who are you and how are you able to pull IP addresses if you aren't the administrator or his wife? Are you some type of web hacker? Or just full of shit? If the former, who am I? |

Of course the OP doesn't have access to IP addresses.
But it's pretty obvious that this forum has been overrun by mean nannies and largely ignored by parents. |

Gotta love how mean nasty parents scapegoat nannies and APs as a whole when faced with realities they don't like. Whether you believe it or not
1) there are more than a few nannies posting in that forum 2) not everyone who disagrees with you IS a nanny, nor does being one discredit their opinion And 3) there is no real motivation to artificially inflate rates on an anonymous forum I don't really give a damn what you pay your cheap help. The nannies participating in this forum for the most part represent the top end of the market which is out of reach or unnecessary for your average DCUM employer. We are simply not going to agree on what makes a good nanny and what proper compensation for one is. |

Gotta love how stupid you are. 1. Yes, the point is that this whole forum is populated by bitter nannies. Very few parents post here. They know better. However, there are many nanny trolls pretending to be MB. 2. Yes, we nannies are entitled to our opinions. 3. Of course, we have a very real motivation to artificially inflate our rates here. We are a population of workers with no measurable skills, no system of assuring quality, no licensure, and have a market flooded with people who may be illegal, or for other reasons, very willing to work for wages that drive down the market. Of course you care what people pay their nannies or you wouldn't insult them by calling them "cheap help". There is no possible way the nannies on this forum represent the top end of the market. If they did, there would be thoughtful threads on substantive issues facing the profession. There are very few such threads. All the nannies care about here is money. Read the threads. The evidence is right under your nose. Hell, you don't even need to go that far. Your own post talks about money three times in less than a dozen sentences. You are the problem. You are the reason the parents only come out to warn others about your trolling posts. You are dismissed, discredited, and foolish. |

I'm an MB. I use this forum. Sometimes it horrifies me. Sometimes it infuriates me. Sometimes it's actually quite helpful.
Sometimes I'm not at my best here but sometimes I'm helpful to someone else. I can't figure out who the heck anyone on this thread is or what the point is. Are you all just bickering with each other over nothing for sport? |
