| What does is mean when a job posting says they want someone who is energetic and athletic? Are they saying they don't want any overweight people to apply? |
| It means they want you to do activities, play sports and overall be interested in their child. A little overweight is ok but a lot, that is for you to decide if you want to apply. |
We want someone who can keep up with us. For example, sometimes my DH jogs to the clubhouse in the development of our vacation home in Boca, FL. The kids sit in the wagon and the nanny pulls them. She doesn't have to run obviously, but if DH gets too far away they start crying. Or we go to the beach and the nanny needs to be able to play in the water with the one running into it while managing the other one. We didn't want a nanny who would sit on a chair and say to the kids "You go ahead and play, I'll watch." We wanted someone who gets in there and plays too. |
I'm really trying to imagine how you typed any of this with a straight face. |
I actually laughed out loud when I read this. A+ for creativity and humor much better than the usual fairy tales told here. |

It means that they want someone who is active and doesn't like to sit around and do nothing all day. Someone who takes the initiative during the day and engage in physical active activities w/their child(ren.)
And yes, to a point, they may just judge any potential nannies they interview on her body type, though they may not overtly say so. |
