If they didn't have workman's comp insurance, sue them. You must be undocumented. I would still see a lawyer. |
You were going to go back and pay the taxes on the money that you’d already gotten as cash? You don’t get to just set aside the first portion of money from each employer and say that this is not taxable. If you were going to be paid legally later, then you should’ve already filed the I-9, and you should’ve already filled out your W-4. Which means that you have documentation to show that you work for them, so the post was unnecessary to start with, as it’s easy to prove that you were working for them and therefore should be covered by the Workmen’s Comp. or household insurance. |
Employee or not their homeowners should cover any injuries in their homr |
OP, first of all, how are you doing now?
Second, I think this is telling that the family didn't even ask how you are. Do you really want a long term gig with these people? -MB |
I am better thanks for asking . No I don’t have any interest to be in touch with them . Mostly law forms are not ready to help me out but there is two law form want me to help . To be honest I am going through physical pain and don’t want to take stress. Also I feel guilty to take any action since it was not their mistake. Just bad luck but I disappointed they didn’t check on me.
I talked with disability lawyer and he will help me to get short term disability. I appreciate all responses. |
You can apply for short-term disabilty without a lawyer. He will take a chunk of your claim. |
Op here can I approve I am in VA . I think short term disability only for CA
Thanks |
I fell at work due to a broken stair and it was also kind of dark. Though my employers paid my doctor bill, I sprained my ankle and had to wear that horrid boot.
I didnt even think about asking about their home owner's insurance. That has been some 20 odd years ago. My ankle kills me on and off even today. You never get paid under the table it's not worth it! |
Troll post. |
They have homeowners insurance. Sue them |
