Babysitter for Thanksgiving day?! RSS feed

My employers won't ever spend a second of the day or night without a nanny. I'm sad.

Find another job. Being mad or sad doesn't get you where you want to be.

There are plenty of reasons that having someone else care for the baby would make Thanksgiving more relaxed.

A babysitter for naps? Lol ok guess they can afford a sitter but not a monitor. And a family like this I pretty much doubt they are going to play football.

The Kennedys played a lot of football.

Perhaps it's just a smart solution to a crazy day. Maybe it's a brutal solution to some awful scenario. (I spent one thanksgiving in an ICU w/ a dying relative. No children were allowed.)

Your judgment speaks more poorly of you than anyone else.

Really? What does my judgement speak of me?

If you're the OP, your judgement says you have a tendency towards unkindness to a family you don't know and have no idea of their circumstances. You are also mean by calling them atrocious here, for no purpose other than to start an anti-nanny family troll fest and invite others to share what you think is atrocious. Finally, your judgments suggests you want to start trouble here, which, luckily, didn't work. So, yes, the PP is correct. Your judgment speaks more poorly of you than anyone else on this thread.

Frankly, the situation described in the OP isn't atrocious or even unreasonable. I find the pay too low for this area, but if they've never hired a holiday nanny, they may not know the appropriate rate.
