being a nanny is a job with a lot of responsibilities.
kids are the dearest and most priceless treasures to parents and they hire a nanny to take care of that treasure. Treasure keepers should be paid accordingly to the great responsibility. $11, 12, .....20 is not enough for a treasure keeper |
| Doing your job well, requires lots of skill. And you're still thinking about how to do it better next time, even after you're off the clock. |
TROLL Nannies in DC area earn $11-20. |
Hi clueless mb. It's you again. Not all parents are cheapskates. If you can't afford to pay your sitter more than $11/hr, just be honest. That's all. |
I would LOVE to be able to pay $35 an hour to a nanny, in part because that's what the job is worth, and in part because if I did pay this it means I must be earning a family income much higher than I am.
However, there are nannies available who do an amazing and wonderful job at $17 - $20/hour and I hope to keep them working for me by being a fair and kind employer! |
Go away clueless troll and be happy there is someone willing to pay you more. Btw, I'm not mb and I don't hire sitter. |
I think you don't understand what a troll is. |
However sad it might be, the PP ( $11-20 ) is correct. I know at least 3 different families in DC area paying $10-11... Off the books of course. |

$10-11/hour for what???
Warm body, of course. |

There're right here in DC, not just NYC.
Good for them! |
*They're |
How do they sleep at night? |
Your kindness is indeed a valued asset. Nannies know when you're doing your best. |
