OP here, and I know I was overreacting. It's all good. The nanny told me in the afternoon she felt terribly and I told her not to, it was fine.
And by the way, I'm not a FTM, nor is this my first nanny. |
THIS I'm not a nanny. I'm a mom of two and I can tell you that the bigger deal you make of falls/trips/stumbles/boo-boos, the bigger deal your kid will make. When my kids get banged up, I ignore it and intentionally look away until they seek my attention. Then, I downplay it as much as possible (within reason, of course, I wouldn't ignore profuse bleeding or bone sticking out!) Think about it, you bang your head or elbow or shin on shit all the time. Do you cry? Do you need someone to kiss it? No. The goal here is to teach them that a little pain will be gone within seconds and is to be powered through. It's called resiliency and it's a much needed personality trait that most Americans are training OUT of there kids. |
You are overreacting!
If i would have been your nanny i would have taken my stuff and left right away. I bet you are a total control freak! Babies fall over all the time!!!! |
Complete overreaction, OP.
Let your nanny do her job. |
