Oh, wow. I want my nanny doing as little housework as possible - leave the house pretty much as you found it, barring any crazy days when that just can't happen. Just take care of my kids! That's it! And hopefully have some fun doing it rather than be mopping and doing laundry and all that crap. I definitely would not want my nanny off figuring out how to make household products that I have forgotten to keep stocked. Ridiculous. |
I'm sure you'd love for your nanny to wipe your ass to but if its not part of her job duties please don't hold your breath. You also don't know what her hours are, and just because YOU are on during work hours doesn't mean OP is. You really think your nanny is here to fulfill your every whim like some kind of house slave.... |
"I hate people who only buy something when they run out. When your bottle is half used, get a new one! Then you don't run out. This goes for anything....milk, olive oil, cereal, toothpaste etc."
wow. I am in awe of your organized life, PP. I never buy ANYTHING before we are out (ok, milk maybe - even then I have taken to keeping UHT boxes on hand so we are never truly out out). |
OP, you've done nothing wrong here unless washing the uniform is normally your job so the fact that it was left ot last minute falls on you. sounds like that's not the case though. |
Haha this is my MB!! Buys everything in bulk! & online. Actually it works out great I let them know when there is two of something left (laundry soap, dishwasher soap, formula, diapers, paper towels) anything that I have to deal with on a day to day basis. The housekeeper does the same thing for the cleaning supplies. And bam next day a box is at the door with whatever is needed. |
I do the children's laundry, but every Thursday. I would most definitely had done her sons uniform. I just hate that she didn't directly ask, and when I tried to get her to tell me she ignores my texts and calls. |
Not everyone is as disorganized as you are PP. I might not buy something when it still has 1/4 left, but I know by looking at/using something that I will need more by the next time I use it, or 2-3 days away and plan to buy it by then. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to think while brushing your teeth, Hey I need more toothpaste! and to write it down on a list after you are done if you can't seem to remember to buy it without writing it down. |
Are you kidding me??? I thought you were referring to a military uniform! If it's a recital, he can clearly wear something else! This situation is totally manufactured, not real. I wouldn't worry about it if I was you -- if it was a serious issue, I would hope MB would respond to your communication! She's not worried about it -- you shouldn't be either. |
Well, he did have to wear the uniform. It was a school function, but I always do laundry Thursday evenings, and she didn't give me advance about her needing the uniform. |
