I have a 2yr old boy and one on the way. I wanted to babysit another toddler or infant, is that rare?

I'm 25 and have worked for Arlington county elementary schools 7 yrs now. I've worked at too many daycares to know I don't want my son in one. I don't believe in a changing schedule, I believe in changing the diaper right after the deed has been done. Along with changing the sensory tables once a day to once a week instead of once a month. On top of that I'm such a big germ deputy, another reason I'm not so comfortable with daycares, hand washing rituals are weak from what I've seen. But my wish of being the teacher/caregiver is looking like a dream with my expenses soon to change with the new baby. I was thinking of babysitting another munchkin for $10 an hour. Is that rarely done? A babysitter with her own kids?

You can post an ad on Care.com and try to find someone who is interested! It might be hard to find a family willing to pay much more than daycare when their child will be sharing a caregiver with two other kids. I would try to find another toddler rather than a baby. This way you could take the older kids to a class or activity and at worst would disrupt your own baby's nap rather than the paying parents'.
