recommendations for nanny agency RSS feed

We want to hire a nanny through an agency, but not sure which ones are good. Had tried Metropolitan, but had no luck. Tried them twice (because they had our deposit) over a several month period, but they only sent us one candidate-the same person twice and she really did not seemed qualified.

Any suggestions? In the past we used a Choice Nanny and loved them, but they are no longer open in NOVA. Thanks for any recommendations!

The nanny that we were given informtion had a lot of information on her resume that raised red flags-was a waitress, large gaps in resume and explanations that concerned us-we were told the gaps were because of a breakup. Based upon information given we were concerned about the emotional stability of the nanny-while she might be a perfectly nice person, I would be very concerned taking that kind of gamble where my children are involved.

As is the case with most parents, we want a nice, reliable down to earth nanny that takes great care of our kids. We had such great luck with our old agency-we were given several candidates all of which were great. While some were more suited for our family than others, I have no doubt that each canditate that we were given information on would be a good nanny. We ended up interviewing two nannies and had a hard time choosing as they both seemed equally great and had a great raport with our children. Hoping to find the same this time.

OP I've recommended Metro Parent Relief several times here. I have only used them for short term/fill-in type work, but the people they've sent me have been consistently decent, and I know they can assist w/ permanent hires also.

Good luck.
