In VA, the homeowner or employer can legally throw you to the curb, with no time to find another place to work or to live. (In Montgomery Co., they must give you notice.)
Your only protection in VA is to pay rent, and be a legal tenant. It doesn't need to be much rent, but needs to be something. Then they'll owe you at least 30 days to find a new place to live. |
