I am a 24hr nanny who works M-F. There is a 24hr weekend nanny that takes over. Both the weekend nanny and I share a bedroom/ bathroom when on duty (not at the same time). I was hired with the understanding that I do no housekeeping. Weekend nanny was hired knowing she is responsible for light housekeeping on weekends. 24hr nannies are not technically live-ins, because we are on duty and working around the clock (even while sleeping). Our bedroom is like our office. The household has 2 full-time housekeepers M-F.
My question is: Who should be responsible for cleaning and changing linens in our nanny room/bathroom? |
| You do it during the week, especially since you spend far more time there than she does. She then leaves it clean for you when she leaves. Seems like a no brainer to me. |
| The housekeepers. One should change the bedding and towels on Friday before they leave for the day and the other should change it all out Monday morning first thing. |
| You should strip the linens and the housekeepers should launder them. |
|
Friday you strip bed and housekeepers clean the sheets, making the bed.
Sunday other nanny strips the bed, the housekeepers wash the sheets monday morning. |
This. |
| Who cleans bathroom? |
Again, the housekeepers. This ALL falls under the housekeepers duties. |
| I say one of the two full-time housekeepers. |
