Weston A Price RSS feed

Any other nannies work for or have worked for families that follow traditional feeding or Weston A Price?

I've become a pro at making the liver formula. What did your NF or your family do at a year? Just raw milk?? If there was a milk sensitivity did you do almond milk (making it from scratch?)

Any tips from from old pros would be great

I've never heard of this and it sounds nasty. No way would u work for a family that didn't feed their kids normal foods. If I have to read a book about your method, we're not a good fit.

Well considering they didn't decide on their feeding methods until about 4 months old, I would not have known when hired (when child was 1 month. Also mom was strictly EP ing until DC was 4 months).

I am always willing to learn something new and better myself.

And it is normal food!!
My charge is 6.5 months and eats salmon, avocado, egg yolks and we just started foods.

ugh, awful....no one should be making formula at home

I haven't done Weston Price so much. I have done gaps and Paleo diets. Have you read the book nourishing traditions? It is associated more with the gaps diet but there is a lot of overlap. Also, there are tons of resources online. The secret code word when googling is "nourishing."

At 6 months he should NOT be eating salmon and egg yolks. The child could get sick. The parents need to get a clue.

I think it's you who needs to get a clue. She said YOLKS, not whites.

Egg yolks can still get a baby sick. A baby at 6 months are not supposed to eat salmon or yolks.Read a book troll.

It's the whites that get the baby sick not the yolks.

Yes you can make formula at home. Look it up. Just because this child is not eating big macs and chicken nuggets doesn't make it wrong.

What do you think other cultures do?!

Thank you I will let my MB know about gaps.

She has the book nourishing traditions and tries to go by it along with Weston A Price feeding.

She even discussed it with her pediatrician and the pediatrician was ok with the formula. She knew all about it. She's a great pediatrician and doesn't push one "way" on the parents.
