This is a nanny forum. House-keepers and nannies are completely different jobs descriptions and pay. But housekeepers do get payed very well, because they do take care of your most precious positions... Your house and things.

My bosses pay 250 per week. 10 hrs once a week so about 25 per hr.

Yes, housekeepers earn more than nannies. Nannies earn $15-20 an hour. Housekeepers earn $20-30 an hour. Parents seem to have their priorities right!

If a nanny only worked 4 hours twice a month she might make $20-30/hr too. Part-time nannies earn more per hour than full-time nannies because overall they make less. Housekeepers might earn more per hour but overall they make significantly less.

Our housekeeper makes $25 an hour. If she's sick and can't come, she doesn't get paid, If we are on vacation and don't need her, she doesn't get paid. She works 5 hours every other week.

We have a part-time nanny who works 20 hrs a week, vacation, sick, holidays, guaranteed pay, etc. Plus we are flexible with her grad school schedule. She makes $20 an hour to take care an 18 month old. If she came in for 5 hrs every week and we took away the other things, we could afford to pay her WAY more.
