We live in DC, and some of the nannies we've been interviewing want to be able to park with their out-of-state vehicles. We have zoned street parking only. If we have a DC visitor parking pass, will that work for a nanny or will they ding her for parking too frequently? Curious as to what other families do about this issue.

as far as I know, visitor parking passes are supposed to be used by temporary guests of DC residents, certainly not by MD or VA residents who work in DC and want to drive to work and park in a zoned street in DC. visitor parking pass expires after 15 days, so I am not sure how a nanny could use one to park for a longer time see here http://dmv.dc.gov/service/obtain-visitors-parking-permits-guests-permanent-residents |
Its fine. My nanny family lived in zone 3 I parked for two years with the pass with no issues. |
