Monday is President's Day...are you ladies working or not?
I was scheduled to work (MB has to work but DB doesn't). But I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when MB texted me to say that DB is going to take the girls to the aquarium, so I can have the day off. I'm very happy bc it gives me an extra day to fight off this cold that the girls gave me that I'd rather not give back to them! |
| It's part my paid holidays so yes I have it off |
| DS' nanny does not have it off. Neither DH or I have it off and her paid holidays are written out explicitly since we don't get all Fed holidays off. |
PP here. Neither of us have Columbus Day or Washington's Day off and I have a long standing commitment on Veteran's Day that I cannot bring DS to (DH does not have it off) but in exchange our nanny gets 4 extra vacation days of her choosing (with the agreement they cannot be used on those days). It has worked out well for us! |
| It's in my work agreement that I have the day off paid. Thankful for another day to relax and clean. |
| I'm working just like mb, not sure about db yet but he only works a few hrs each week anyway. |
| Mb's in laws are in town. But I have to make up the hours. |
| President's Day is a paid holiday off for me with my full-time family but I'm working for my part-time family since they don't get the day off. Yay getting paid twice for the same day! |
It's not in my days off, but MB told me tonight that I can have it! LOVE her
|
| MB is home tomorrow but is still making me come in. I work for a family who really doesn't care to spend time with their kids so.... |
|
I have tomorrow off. I even had Lincoln's birthday off last Wednesday. Love my job!
|
| Is federal holiday dummmmm. |
Don't be snarky - not everyone gets all the federal holidays off. |
Yes, this. DH and I do not have all federal holidays off, so nanny's holidays are written out explicitly in the contract vs just saying federal holidays. |
| MB is off but has the flu, so she's tucked away in bed and I'm watching the kids. |
