What's a small Valentine's Day gift for nanny? RSS feed

We'd like to get our nanny a small valentine's day gift but are not sure what to give her. She doesn't eat sweets! And she takes public transport, so it needs to be something easy to carry. TIA

Gift card to spa

Star bucks giftcard or a gift card under $25 is just fine and would be appreciated!

I'm the post below yours with the mad Mb, but last year when dc2 was a baby, she got me a single red rose from him because, as she said, I am dc's favorite person mon-fri and he clings to me when I'm here. It sounds corny but it just made my day.

that's sweet! OP here thanks for your ideas. I'd love to give a spa gift card, but i'm not sure it would go very far (under $25)? plus i'm not sure she would even appreciate it. i'm not sure it's something that is part of her culture, and she has young children so i know she prob would rather the money she can use pragmatically? i'd love to give a gift card instead of cash though.

Could you swing letting her go home a little early, like 30 minutes? If she has young kids, that would surely be appreciated.

in all my years, I've only had a couple kids give me anything, both were last year. One was a homemade Valentine and one was a boxed Valentine. I loved both andthought it was. really nice they thought of me on a non holiday. really op, anything would be fine...simple card, homemade sugar cookies, while foods gift card, whatever.

I do a card from us, a handmade card from the kids, and a flowering plant of some kind -- not romantic, but still Valentinesy.

She doesn't eat sweets at all? What about something semi-healthy but sweet, like chocolate covered strawberries, that she can share with her kids?

How about an outfit for each of the kids for summer? Or, a Target gift card and she can do what she wants.

Target gift card or amazon gift card.

Small bouquet or plant with red flowers. Valentine's day is for sweet gifts like cards, flowers and candy, not gift cards.

Nothing. I am not her bf.

I am thinking a little fancy hand lotion or nice chap stick - something doesn't cost a fortune but that shows we are thinking of her and will get used. And of course, a card from the kids.

Maybe some nice jewelry.
