Christmas gift for babysitter? RSS feed

Our babysitter is actually our previous nanny as well. She was a great nanny but due to the charges going to school full-time we no longer needed a full-time nanny. She is always available to babysit considering she also works a 50 hour work week for another family.

I would like to give her a Christmas gift/bonus but I am not sure as to what amount would be appropriate. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Whatever feels right for your family and your relationship. I'm sure she's not expecting anything and will be really grateful for whatever you give her.

There is no standard in a situation like this.

I'm a full time nanny but also do babysitting for a few families. Most families I babysit for give me a holiday gift of between 50-100 either cash or a gift card. But I am not there previous full time nanny. But I'm almost always available when they need me !
