| If one were to enter into a nanny share with an unfamiliar family and the share would be at that family's house, how acceptable would it be to do a background check on that family? |
| It's absolutely essential, OP. |
|
I think it would be important, but I betcha the family will get majorly offended. For some reason, us nannies are supposed to just go into stranger's homes and work and just assume we are going to be safe.
Yeah, right. |
| Would not be at all offended by this. We host - it is important for the other family to feel comfortable. |
+1 million Agree that its important. Also wonder why a nanny is not allowed similar comfort. |
|
Nannies need to stand up for themselves. Everyone is concerned about their safety, but a nanny should pretend she's in la-la land where everyone is trustworthy? I don't think so.
What do parents have to hid if they don't offer some references? |
| What do you think of nannies who ask for references or background checks? |
| Is OP a nanny or the other family in the share? |
Looks like OP is the other family. |
