What's the going rate for occasional babysitter in Falls Church area?

What do you pay your occasional babysitter per hour? Just thinking for date nights or other random outings; duties would include giving a nighttime snack, giving our son (19 months) a bath, and putting him to bed. No overnights or anything like that needed. TIA!

10-15 for a HS student.

Unless your 19 month old gets very dirty during the date, I might skip the bath with the babysitter.

I babysit in Arlington and make $15-$17 per hour, but I am out of high school and college. I think $15 is a pretty typical going rate for the families I have dealt with.

We have a much younger sitter - sophomore in high school - who sat for us recently for the first time. She told me that she makes $8/hour.

Her friends are charging much more than that. Maybe she should get her babysitting certification.
