I started a new job at the end of June , the first few weeks MB paid me by check bc she was to busy to set up payroll , then I moved so I delayed it two weeks so we could just input my address once .
I was on vacation last Thursday and Friday (my choice) and this week my MB is on vacation but coming back tomorrow (though I'm not working) she said she would set payroll up last week because she'd have the time bc she was off to cover my vacation. I sent her a text today asking what day I will be receiving my paycheck direct deposited so I could plan my budget , she has not responded and I have a feeling never bothered to set up payroll , if she didn't set up payroll would I be wrong to ask to stop by and get check for last two weeks tomorrow ? Or if its not till next Thursday bc of it being bi weekly (so 3 weeks later ask her to write me a check for one week till I get direct deposit ?) I work 55 hours a week so missing two paychecks in a row is a big hit to my account. |
That would be completely appropriate given the circumstances, just approach it politely ("I know things have been so busy for both of us...") and I'm sure she'll understand. Going a month without a paycheck would be tough on ANYONE. |
