We are just moved to the area and are thinking about pool membership for next summer. Does your pool consider your AP a member of your family? We are specifically looking at Wildwood manor, but are interested in other area pools as well. |
Yes, your AP is definately a "member of the family" at your pool. |
OP is asking about pool rules. SOME pools do not allow the nanny or au pair to come to the pool by herself, only when the children are with her. Also, the word is "definitely" -- I used to spell it wrong too. |
PP is right in that every private pool can make up their own rules as they like, within the law.
OP may want to examine these rules before choosing a pool to join. |
Our pool will only allow the AP to accompany the child. However, I'm not sure this rule is that we'll enforced. Most APs are there often for swim team and such, so she's usually known by the front desk staff, and usually wants to spend free time elsewhere anyway. |
At our pool, technically APs are not included, but it seems like most families just have them go anyway and I haven't heard if any enforcement. I don't think you're going to get an answer here since it varies by pool and situation. |
Depends on the pool. Our AP is included in our family membership. In past years we had nanny's and they were not included in the family membership. |
