Nannies and MBs, what kind of stroller(s) do you use? What are the best and worst things about it? And is it good for the subway/bus? |
What city are you in? |
I like the UPPA baby Cruz and Vista. Currently use the Cruz at work and it's great for the city. They also have a G-Luxe which is easy to fold and lightweight enough for hopping on a bus quickly. |
uppa baby vista, g-luxe and bob, but i would trade all of them for a city select |
We have a bugaboo cameleon3. I love it! It gives a really smooth ride for my baby, lots of storage space, one-handed pushing, etc. It's great for around the neighborhood, but not for public transpo. |
Uppa G-Lite |
BOB revolution for a single cityselect for a double |
City Select! |
City Mini Double. Love it. |
City Mini! Handles bumps reasonable well. Folds like a dream. It doesn't have the dreamy suspension of a BOB and BOB's cousins. But it has the best combination of features for ordinary terrain. |
Is the city mini too heavy for carrying up and down subway stairs with the baby in it? |
Oh, and what about the way the citymini folds? I tried it out, and it is easy, but I guess there's definitely no way to leave anything in the storage areas? It would all spill out upon folding, right? Thanks so much for all your answers and opinions! |
I have a city mini and a graco metrolite.
City Mini is great for walks, has a great sun shade and folds easily. Downside is the basket underneath is tiny, you pay extra for a cupholder thingy for yourself and extra again if you want a snack tray/cupholder for your child. Would be ok for public transport. Graco is also great for walks and my toddler likes it better because she can sit up better in it. Not a good sunshade if youre out a lot. Great basket underneath, lots of space. if your baby is asleep in reclined position you can still access it. The only downside aside from the sun shade is Its a Graco and your child will be shunned by the Bob owners in NW |
Have a City Select and absolutely love it for all-around urban and off-road use. It's not good on public transportation where the stroller must be folded, however. because it doesn't really fold--just kind of collapses onto itself.
Also have a Britax B-Agile for use on the bus and to keep in my trunk. It's fine for those purposes, but I don't really like using it for walks because it isn't as good on rough terrain, doesn't fit much in the basket, and isn't great for tall users who take long strides. |
