What is a reasonable time for my one year old to be outside in the sun? For example at park or pool?
Anonymous
One hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, properly dressed and protected. Why do you ask?
Anonymous
Reasonable in what way? Are you concerned about sun exposure, scheduling, variety of play...?
Anonymous
Only in morning time...

How long is she there? Are you thinking it's to long or to short?

Too long...3-4 hrs average including 15 mins to get there

3 to 4 hours at a time, without coming home in between or 3 to 4 hours total over the course of a day? That seems really long either way but if it's 3 to 4 hours at a time, I'd be very worried - what on a earth is a one-year old doing out in the heat for that long of a stretch? And what about meals and naps?

In bw naps and sometimes brings lunch...I only know bc my husband works from home...most people would never know bc how would they ever know unless nanny tells them....

Seems rather long to me to. Do you think she might be wanting to stay out of your husband's way? Or does he stay in another part of your house. Having a work at home parent, is usually a difficult situation, unless it's big house and the nanny can stay apart from the working parent.

In that case, I'd be concerned to.

What is your concern OP? That the nanny is doing this to spend time with other nannies? That your child is in the heat too long?
Anonymous
Yes too much sun and too much socialization with other nannies
