Sittercity/Care reviews? RSS feed

I was wondering if anyone has ever given or received a negative review, why, and whether they agree it was fair. If you have written a negative review, have you ever written a positive one?

Of course, since I asked, I'll start. I got one bad review (1 star) once for canceling a second (working) interview after I found out in a conversation with the potential MB that I would be working under the table. She made the review sound as if I had started working for her and then didn't show up or otherwise perform my duties. She did remove the comment after I wrote her a very strongly worded email.

The worst part is that care.com refuses to remove them even if you give them proof that the review is untrue. I get that the parents are the ones who pay the bills but they really should give the nannies more respect.

Exactly. The parents may pay the bills but if we walked away, they'd have no reason to pay. We deserve more respect.

In other words, care.com is what you call scum. Why would you want anything to do with them?
