What is a fair benefit package to ask for if you're a nanny work 30 hrs a week? Or if your a MB what do you offer your nanny? How much PTO? How much sick time? Yow mych aid vacation?

I would ask for holidays that fall on your work days, and 60 hours of vacation or however many work days that translates to, and 3 sick days. Basically the same as a FT job, just prorated for a 30-hour work week.

Where do you live? How much do you make? How much experience do you have? Do you have a contract? On the books?

30 is part time so even though you can ask for 2 weeks (one your choosing, one theirs), it's not a right.

Tell your potential employer what you would like and they can agree or you two can come to an agreement or they can decline.

PTO is Lso not a right for FT, Pp. reasonable to ask for the prorated Amts PP suggests.

I live in Montgomery County. I'm in the process of looking for a new position and I'm not sure how much I'll be making.

Agree that 30 hours is part-time and usually does not come with benefits.

My last position was 30 hours and I got paid holidays, two weeks paid vacation and 3 sick days. Current position is 35 hours and the only difference is 2 extra sick days.

We have a nanny who works 30 hours (on average) and we give 2 weeks paid vacation (at 30 hours/week) paid federal holidays if they fall on a work day, and 1 week (30 hours) sick leave, which she can use for vacation if she chooses. No other benefits (such as health care) but in the future we might offer something more, such as a health insurance stipend.
