Is there a MD auto insurance company that accepts the international drivers license?

We live in MD and have state farm. When my Mum comes to visit from England she is covered in my insurance on her International Lic.
Its only supposed to be for short visits though. Not sure if they would cover her all year without a US lic.
How long is the person going to be driving?
