As a spin-off from the nanny police thread, shall we equally post photos and YouTube videos of parents behaving so wonderfully, as they often do? It would be just as easy to do.

What is really most concerning, is that the IsawyourNanny posts, are racist. I happen to be Caucasian, so people invariably assume that I am the mother. Or is it just because I treat my charge as a parent should?

OP here. I am worried about the neglected/abused kid, regardless of who's doing it, parent or nanny.

I do find these nanny sightings to be a bit racist. The only way you could know, or think you know, that what you've seen is a nanny and not a child's mother is that she is of a different race than the child. Are these mothers constantly on the lookout for black/Latina women to call out?

true. But MOST of the time, they ARE the nanny. Naturally not all the time, but often enough that this is a relatively good rule of thumb - even more so if the dress of the nanny doesn't seem to match that of the kids.

yes! i pointed out that this is not universal (duh) but i am willing to bet a whole lot of money that in swankier areas around here in the middle of the day, if a child is with a woman of a different race, they are the nanny 9 times out of 10. just because it is not always the case does not mean it is not true most of the time.

I never took to Amy, but I did like Rory. I might even say I miss him, except that I LOVE Clara and I love that she is making MS's Doctor more agreeable. I think he's done a fine job throughout his tenure, but I really feel like he was truly great for the first time in Saturday's episode.
