10-15 hours a week. In Maryland

As far as her being allowed to work, taxes etc. Can I get workers comp insurance for a minor?

Also what are the laws: re having a high school kid being a live-in for a few weeks during the summer?

Appreciate any info!

Google it. No, nobody else will know off the top of their head. And why would you ask legal advice from a bunch of strangers? Hire an employment attorney if you want advice from someone.

I can address the tax issue - according to IRS Publication 926 you do not pay employment taxes on an employee who is under the age of 18 at any time during the year.
Exception: Count these wages and pay taxes if providing household services is the employee's principal occupation. If the employee is a student, providing household services is not considered to be his or her principal occupation.

OP asked because someone here may have gone through a similar experience. Just because you don't have a clue doesn't mean someone else won't. No need to be such a fucking asshole all the time! Sick of reading your constant douchey remarks on everything that's posted in this forum. Go take the stick out of your ass and IGNORE posts when you don't have any beneficial input. It's not that fucking hard.
