There is no shortage of nannies, but there is a shortage of good nannies. The good nannies find families who appreciate them and stay with them.
Don't always think you have to pay the big bucks to find a good nanny. When I started as a nanny, most of you would die if you knew how much I made, but I also knew I didn't have the experience and was willing to work my way up. You may be able to find a great nanny at a lower pay scale, she just may not have the experience as some other nannies do. But, if you can find someone who will love your child and do their best to take care of your child and will remember she is the employee, not you, you can find yourself a gem. You just may have to go through some frogs to find her, but she is out there. |
