This is my second nanny to end up getting pregnant. Now yes, both of them had boyfriends when they were hired and one got preggo after she and her bf were engaged and the other a few months after she was married. Neither of them had planned it though. I can't deal with this. I don't really feel comfortable hiring a male to care for my girls. Why do all these nannies have to go and get knocked up after they start working for me. I refuse to have a pregnant nanny because it will affect her work and scheduling and I want A LOT of flexibility. And I would never hire another mother of young children either cause that would mean they put their own kids first and won't give me the extreme flexibility I need and want since they would have their own family to get home to. I would get no weekends and evenings and I would never allow them to bring their kid with them. That's just unprofessional. Not sure what to do. |
Um you're crazy.
If one was married how is she knocked up?!?! And why not have other babysitters for nights and weekends? Maybe they are doing it on purpose because you're a nut |
They also get to claim unemployment if you fire them for such an assanine reason. |
Please don't feed the troll guys. Someone has too much time on their hands. No MB says "preggo" and "knocked up". I mean come on now. |
*yawn* Hi troll. |
Yep, troll. Time to get that novel started, OP. It's the way to be constructive with your fine story-telling skills. And we all know you've got endless time on your hands. |
Troll... Yawn |

Troll.
Wow, this is a very interesting feeling for me. |
Isn't it illegal to fire anybody for getting pregnant? |
To answer your question 22:31 no it's not fmla only applies if they have a certain number of employees. I was fired awhile back when I told the family I work for at 12 weeks |
There is a reason it's illegal for companies to do this, and nanny employers should be ashamed of themselves for doing this just because they can. God forbid your nanny let her human show....the way some of you treat other mothers and working women is sad. If she wasn't a nanny, but a teacher or nurse, you'd be outraged! |
Troll, you've been called out. Go away, now. |
