DC nannies? How many of you are interviewing for the Cockburns?

I hear their are 50+ applicants, I got a call back and was given a date for a phone interview. What are the chances this will happen? 1 of 50, and will it be worth it? Which family member has a child? The job was for an infant boy?

It is not uncommon for families to have 50+ nannies apply for a position. What is uncommon is for them to show interest in or interview 50+ applicants.

Possibly because they are high profile? I think they have hired someone to go through the majority, since I made it to phone interview maybe I have a chance? They haven't given much information, just that's its one infant, FT, nothing mentioned about a father but that mother works FT, travels a lot but sometimes works from home.

Who cares? And if they are high profile I'm sure you aren't a good candidate since you are discussing their nanny search when you haven't even had an interview. I hope whoever they hire has to sign a confidentiality agreement.

They won't, but if I were them I would cancel all the interviews I had lined up and seek out new candidates just to be safe.
