The family I nanny for has many guns and cases which are often left out of the giant gun safe. They have cases and cases of ammo in EVERY SINGLE ROOM in the house. It makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable. Is this normal/ok or am I worried for no reason? |
No, this is NOT ok. Especially in a family with children. All guns should be kept in a lock-safe, away from children. I would leave. |
It would make me VERY uncomfortable to have guns and ammunition left unlocked where children could access them.
I'm pretty anti-gun though. Maybe others feel differently? But to give perspective, I wouldn't have a problem if guns were locked up in a part of the house where the children didn't have easy access (like MB/DB bedroom, attic, or basement, etc) |
As a nanny, I personally would not knowingly work in a home that did not lock up all of their guns. I would not feel comfortable with that because I would hate to be on the clock and have the child get a hold of something. I also just believe that it is irresponsible for parents to leave dangerous weapons out where their children can get to them so I probably wouldn't think very much of MB and DB if they did that. |
It makes your 'somewhat uncomfortable'? Really?
This is stupid dumb and I have a hard time believing any responsible gun owner would think this acceptable. Your story, OP, is almost impossible to believe. |
I have a feeling the ammo is not in the guns and it's not that serious and OP is over exaggerating. |
